Hinch Plant have specialised in providing authentic and effective ground cover solutions ever since our first job on the set of George Eliot’s Middlemarch, in 1993.

Our family roots are in farming, so we draw upon our multi-industry expertise to translate the needs of the set designers. Turning their vision into practical movie magic.

With over 1000 production credits to our name, Hinch Plant are established veterans of the industry. We have provided a range of professional services for all sizes and types of production.

Andrew, Hinch Plant’s founder, serves as a professional consultant and provides a bespoke sampling service. This means that the set designers can always find the perfect materials to suit their project.

What we do.

We offer a variety of services for film, TV and advertising productions. Which includes professional ground cover dressing, construction, excavation and plant-machinery and prop hire.

We’ve got the know-how and the man-power to help the production crew to solve any issue that might crop up. Plus, we can source any additional equipment or materials needed to get the job done.

We can perfectly disguise all evidence of 21st-century life, dressing the set to the production’s specifications, no matter the period setting. Our knowledge and experience inform our complete attention to detail, down to every brick and cobble. So, we can provide everything necessary to achieve period authenticity.

We provide maintenance services for farms, private grounds, yards and large estates. This includes the nearby Burghley Estate, on the edge of Stamford, Lincolnshire.

We also supply a selection of driven plant for a wide range of jobs, including earthmoving, powered access, heavy lifting and much more.

We started out in farming back in 1980 with a single digger. Since then, we’ve made use of our developing skills and resources to grow and diversify the business.

We have a dedicated team of fully-licensed professionals and generations of farming know-how at our fingertips.
